09 Bars In Astroria
10 Lesson From Nichole
11 Dont Be One
12 Immaculate Misconception

Emmure’s third cd release “Felony” is a mixed bag of good songs with alot of generic not so great songs. My big problem with this cd though is how alot of the songs follow the same pattern, blend together, and are just forgettable. Of course there are the good songs on the record including “Sunday Bacon” , “I Thought You Met Telly And Turned Me Into Casper”, and “R2DEEPTHROAT”. Everything else though seems to just be generic. I mean by no means is it a horrible cd but it is just average with a few good songs. Worth a listen to if your a fan but if you haven’t heard them before just look up the hits from this and listen to another one of their cds.

Overall Score:

5/10

Review:

Chelsea Grin has changed their sound alot on this cd. They went from really high pitched screams and some weird noises to taking the Whitechapel road. He now does his same high pitched screams but they’ve made it to where the cd sounds alot like Whitechapel. Now if that seems like a bad thing it isn’t. The cd is part old Chelsea Grin part wanna try to be Whitechapel. Their opening song The Foolish one is great as is the title track My Damnation. Actually this entire cd is good and he has really made his vocals quite impressive. Though they still add the same breakdowns it seems it doesn’t bother me. The songs are catchy enough and this is by far the best cd they’ve made by far. It’s alot better made. They’ve added some nice riffs and almost made it a bit melodic. Also the last song does have Phil Bozman from Whitechapel on it. During which you can just tell how Phil’s vocals blow him away and how much better he is at doing low’s. Overall though if your looking for a new cd to pass your time give this one a few runs and you’ll enjoy it quite alot.
