Story (from Netflix) :
It’s back: The flesh-eating virus that decimated a cabin full of coeds is on the loose again. This time around, a high school prom is ground zero for the epidemic in this horror sequel directed by Ti West. Thanks to a local stream being contaminated during the first outbreak, the bottled water being distributed at the high school dance is causing the unwitting students to break out in ghastly blisters and sores.
Ok, first off can we really consider this a sequel to Cabin Fever? Other than there being a virus and a tiny connection to the first film this really isn’t a sequel. It’s really just a virus horror film. Now with that being said the movie is so horrible that it’s funny. Now it’s not the film is bad as in unwatchable, it’s just that there are so many flaws. First off , the story line is just a lineup of plot holes. It seems nothing really connections and really is just so tacky and plausible. Second, the cast is terrible. I mean yes I get that they are mainly no name actors (except Judah Fredlander from 30 Rock is in it for a small part) but the acting is terrible. No one plays their role nice and they all fall into the average horror movie role. Also the main girl “the hot girl” that is always in every horror movie isn’t even remotely hot in this movie. Shes look like a skinny trailer park meth head. (Not mean, being honest!). Also the best friend to the main character is by far one of the most unlikeable guys ever. From the first few minutes when the movie shows him I couldn’t help but want for him to just die a horrible death (which he did). The thing this movie does right though is just stupid gory death. Also there is TONS of vomiting in this movie. Not for a faint stomach for it really is funny. So really this film is just a bad virus movie but its worth a watch if your bored because the gore by itself is entertainment enough.
Score : 4/10
