Review :

Perfect is the best way to explain this. Front to back this cd is just hardcore bliss. From the intro song which is also a instrumental right into “Greater Distance” you can’t help but feel like these guys put out a masterpiece. Every song is just perfect and is full of hardcore breakdowns (that don’t get repetitive) and thoughtful lyrics. Also the songs with guests fit perfect. The production value on this album is perfect and its really hard to just talk about the album other than just saying “GO LISTEN TO THIS NOW!”.

Review :

Oh another CD full of covers songs. I still wonder why they call it “Pop Goes Punk” though. None of the bands that are covering the songs are Punk and none of the original songs really are pop. Kicking it off though the pace of the cd is weird. There are the metalcore songs then slow radio toned songs. Songs like “Dead And Gone”, “Need You Now”, “Paper Planes”, “Airplace”,”Down”, and “Bad Romance” are all boring. Just quick covers that are just almost a soft rock cover. We Came As Romans, Of Mice And Men, and The Word Alive do a good job but turning the song into a metalcore song that sounds like something the band would normally do. Woe Is Me does a great cover of “Hot And Cold” which fits perfect for them. The best song though is Miss May I’s cover of “Run This Town”. It kicks off with a mellow intro then just bursts into a fast metalcore song. Overall though the cd isn’t terrible there are just only a few good standout songs.
