Story (from Redbox) :
The local strip club has seen better days. But tonight it’s gonna see a whole lot worse. Spider has been losing money on his business for years. Now it’s finally getting the traffic he’s always wanted, unfortunately most of his patrons are undead. With a sudden outbreak of the zombie virus, Vanilla, Bambi, and Sugar Hills deal with the disaster the way only a stripper can, as blood and braziers go flying.
Why is it that over the last few years there has been a good amount of low level horror movies involving both zombies and strippers? That being said though at how this film is there shouldn’t really be anymore.
The story revolves around a no good strip club filled with only a few girls and some of the oddest and creepiest looking male workers around. After having no business the zombie outbreak starts and zombies flood the bar along with the random patrons who decide a strip club is the best place to hide. We get to see a gang of religious bikers, a rocker, and a husband trying to have fun with his last moments. All these characters are one sided and boring to say the least. The best ones are the black stripper because I feel like she was modeled after a 70’s black strong female role and the bikers are comical as well.
I’d like to say the gore is done well but even that isn’t great. Sure at least you do get to see some blood now and then but the first half of the movie doesn’t have much. With the movie only lasting around 70 minutes and the first half of it being slow you never really get the feeling that it is progressing forward at a steady pace. Once the violence picks up it is good but the first half just drags. It can be fun watching the girls try to fight zombies because of how over done the acting is and the one liners are but the movie just never grabs you.
From a company that usually puts out semi decent B movie this one just falls short. Even with the last part of it being somewhat decent with zombie violence the horrible writing, acting, and slow pacing with the story just never is able to get your attention and draw you in. I just can’t really recommend it.
