Fire With Fire (2012) Movie Review
Released : Aug. 31st, 2012

Genre : Action
Story (from IMDB) :
A fireman takes an unexpected course of action when a man whom he’s been ordered to testify against, after being held up at a local convenience store, threatens him.
Another straight to DVD movie with some bigger names in it. Once again though you start to see why movies like this even with big names usually go unknown.
We start off right away with the story and are given little back story as to why anything is happening. Instead we get stuck with Jeremy (played by Josh Duhamel) who is a firefighter with really no skills other than his job. He isn’t even a likeable character instead our main guy is easily forgettable. Jeremy gets stuck in the middle of a robbery and manages to escape before being shot. We later find out he is sleeping with a CIA agent who later gets injured. Next up our man Jeremy somehow becomes a killing machine taking on all who tried to kill him / his woman. From that we get some good violence but even while watching it I kept losing interest in the story.
The cast though has some big names in it including supporting roles featuring Bruce Willis, Rosario Dawson, 50 Cent, and Vinnie Jones. Not surprisingly though is the fact that none of these people provide a good memorable role. Bruce Willis seems to put little effort into his role while Rosario Dawson does a decent job but her time on screen is only really in the beginning and end. 50 Cent is only on screen for one moment really and while Vinnie Jones plays the same good role he always does in the role though he just doesn’t shine at all. With the mundane moments and bland script they just don’t do much.
Overall it is clear as to why not many have heard of this. At the end of the day it is just a little below average.
