Review :

I seem to be on a really bad streak with movies lately and this one just proves that. I can now see why Warner Brothers did their best to sneak this movie into theaters without the general public knowing too much about it.

The story wise this movie is a mess. You have a quick part at the beginning which tries to explain the hauntings but it doesn’t really seem to do anything. The hauntings still feel unexplained and just uneventful. The story itself presses itself forward and rushes itself without doing anything for the viewer. The scares themselves are mainly weird noises and quick camera cuts. Nothing to actually try and scare anyone. Also the one time you do see one of the ghost type things it bares almost a exact replica of the one from The Ring.

The cast themselves play the general role of people that don’t respond to anything. I couldn’t really find the will to like any of the characters. Even Tom Felton who is in the movie plays a very small role and it taken out in a rather forgettable way. I often just found myself bored watching this. Not a single thing in the movie could draw me in and not a single thing was done right.

I also have to point out the tagline for this movie “Once You Believe You Die”. It makes not one bit of sense in the movie nor does it even have to do with anything in the movie. I feel like the poster was made with the tag line then they completely redid the movie without wanting to waste the money on a new poster.

With a movie this bad you can only say it’s horrible so many times. Just save yourself the trouble and avoid it.

1/10
