Story (from IMDB) :
Three months have passed since a viral outbreak wiped out 99.9% of the world’s population, turning its victims into flesh-eating living dead. In the UK, a surviving band of soldiers and civilians have taken refuge at a rural military barracks. Life in this new world is tough and brutal, but hope appears when a high level communication is received from a military base on the coast, telling of sanctuary elsewhere in Europe… But just as salvation appears to be in reach, the base suffers an overwhelming defeat at the hands of the living dead! The surviving handful of troops and civilians must now make their way to the coast to uncover the truth behind the message. Their perilous journey takes them across a now treacherous, death-ravaged landscape, where the living dead are vast in number and wandering bandits impose their own malicious sense of law and order. What follows is a journey into hell and a desperate battle against all odds for the very survival of the human race.
First off I’d like to thank IMDB for putting so much effort into making a good paragraph about the story. I think more work was done writing that then was put into the movie because this movie is absolute garbage.
I mean the story makes little sense and is entirely unbelievable. Don’t forget the HUGE plot holes in the movie though along with the situations that just leave you awe struck. Like how did this huge army base somehow just forget to close the front gate so zombies invade. All those armed guards just standing there watching and somehow their one job is forgotten. Even setting the story aside the characters are just horribly unlikeable with the acting being just as bad as the story.
I’d like to tell you that the action and zombies make up for the film but they don’t. The FX for this film seems to be made by people that have not a single clue what to do while the zombies may win the award for not only the stupidest zombies but also the most harmless. In this film you can stand right next to a zombie and just have it stand there and walk past you without even a glance your way. Also I’d like to ask if this film really needed the 3 attempted rape scenes that happened. They didn’t seem to play any part in the movie. If anything just brought down a already horrible movie into something even lower.
The ending doesn’t help the movie at all and the only enjoyable time is when the credits start. Sadly you then realize that you wasted your last hour and a half watching this. Avoid at all costs.
