See No Evil (2006) Movie Review
Released : May 19th, 2006
Reviewed : Nov. 1th, 2012
Genre : Horror
Story (from IMDB) :
A group of delinquents are sent to clean the Blackwell Hotel. Little do they know reclusive psychopath Jacob Goodnight (Jacobs) has holed away in the rotting hotel. When one of the teens is captured, those who remain — a group that includes the cop who put a bullet in Goodnight’s head four years ago — band together to survive against the brutal killer.

Review :

It’s sad when Kane who has one line in the movie is the standout role. A movie filled with little back story and what character development they do create falls very short. It’s bad in a horror movie when you can’t even like a single character even with the villain.

The story itself is as clique as ever. A group of troubled adults all who fit stereotypical roles are sent into a building with a officer who years ago had shot Kane in the head. Kane lives there and you know the rest. Even the twist itself is pointless and even hurts the film. The twist plays into a horrible wannabe religious angle that has been done a hundred thousand times before.

Now Kane himself plays the role well and could do good in horror movies since all he really is doing is his normal role for wrestling. It is something he has mastered over the years. All the other actors are instantly forgettable.

Even the gore for this movie falls short. You see a lot of eye balls being pulled out from heads but other than Kane mostly just throws people, hooks them, and generally make whatever he is lifting seem weightless.

Overall really this movie isn’t worth a view unless your a diehard wrestling fan and want to see how Kane can act. If you don’t like Kane than pass on this movie.

Score :

3/10

  1. I hear that Kurt Angle put out a horror movie with Kevin Nash in it. How about a review of that? Thanks! Site is awesome.
