Review :

Another body switching movie, at least this one is more adult themed and pretty funny. You have a cast that can hold their own yet at the end it still isn’t great.

Now Ryan Reynolds and Jason Bateman are a great team together. They not only have great on screen chemistry together but their roles switching bodies was spot on for each other. They also have many great on screen moments but equally as many jokes that fall somewhat flat. It may not be their fault. You also have Leslie Mann and Oliva Wilde in the film who are just beautiful and like always Leslie Mann is funny but doesn’t seem to get enough screen time.

The film follows the main plot of every body switching film where they hate their lives and want to change, they have a little fun, then they realize all the problems that they had and want to change. The one thing this movie does right is making the emotional turn feel normal and not pushing it over the end where the comedy stops. You start to care about the characters and their problems so it blends in seamlessly. It really is one film that almost gets better as it progresses since it pretty much starts off as your average raunchy comedies with all the same jokes that have been heard before. As the characters grow so do the jokes and the cleverness of them.

While it may not be anything to new or great, it is entertaining and worth the view.

Score :
6/10
