Ah , The Avengers, such a record breaking film and for a very good reason. This will be marked down as one of the definitive superhero movies. This has it all. Between a great cast, interesting story, great chemistry, and some amazing fight scenes this movie doesn’t have a single bad moment. Now for people that don’t know the back story of every single person in the film, the movie does a good job on filling in the gaps and making it easy enough to follow. For the hardcore fans they are constantly making references to small things from the comics or other films to keep everyone on their toes. One of the major strengths of this film though is the cast and the amazing chemistry they share. Most people say that the hulk steals the show but for me it has to be Robert Downey Jr playing the role he has perfected “Iron Man”. The lines between him and just about every other cast member is genius and he really has nailed the role. Now not to forget the rest of the cast including Samuel L Jackson , Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, and the beautiful Scarlett Johannson.
Now the action scenes are done to such a high and epic degree that it really isn’t a surprise that people still talk about them. Each scene varies in what is going on, many times of which has multiple battles going on. The end battle scene is a prolonged scene and just wraps up everything you ever wanted to see in a superhero film and then some. Now I did see this film twice in theaters, one in 2D and once in IMAX 3D and can say that the 3D does nothing as it really looks 2D since it was originally made that way. The movie does pull a tug on the heart strings though but I’ll keep that one spoiler free. Overall this is a must see. Even if you know nothing about anything in the movie it is still a extremely entertaining action film. It gets the rare perfect score for all the right reasons.
