The 41-Year-Old Virgin Who Knocked Up Sarah Marshall and Felt Superbad About It
Released : June 8th, 2010

Genre : Comedy
Story (from IMDB) :
Follows Andy, who needs to hook up with a hottie, pronto, because he hasn’t had sex in… well, forever – and his luck isn’t the only thing that’s hard. His equally horny teenage roommates also need it superbad, and with the help of their nerdy pal, McAnalovin’ and his fake I.D., they may tap more than just a keg.
First off, that is a ridiculously long title. Now onto the movie, this film trys to spoof around 8 movies all into one coherent plot. It doesn’t really do it well in the part of it mainly follows a “40 Year Old Virgin” plot with bits of other characters from films like “Superbad”, “Funny People”, “Forgetting Sarah Marshall”, and “Knocked Up”. At one point it even throws out a reference to “Curious Case Of Benjamin Button” that is not only random but they do absolutely nothing with the joke. Now the actors for the roles mix from horrible to actually pretty decent. I enjoyed the guys who portrayed “Seth Rogan” and “Jonah Hill”. Sadly the main character “Andy” played by Bryan Callen I found to be really dull and extremely unfunny. There was no charm with him whatsoever. While I am at it too the guy that tried to play Russell Brand’s part from “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” was quite possibly the worst actor I have ever seen.
You could guess though that with this film it is mainly raunchy jokes many of which are just scenes taken directly from the films they are mocking. For instance you have the waxing scene and also opening scene from “40 Year Old Virgin” taken and added into the film, the only difference is they attempted to make them raunchy and ironically alot less funny. The film does have some laughs but mainly from the few actors I previously mentioned. Overall the film doesn’t do much of anything worthwhile and ends up being extremely generic. Worth a view on a rainy day but other than that it isn’t worth your time that much.
