Beyond Scared Straight TV Show Review
Released : 2011
Story (from Netflix) :
Executive produced by Arnold Shapiro (who directed the 1979 documentary Scared Straight!), this A&E reality series offers troubled teens a bitter taste of prison life by taking them behind bars to interact with actual inmates.
Went into this not knowing what it was at all. Not evening ever heard of it. I think this was meant to be a serious show yet honestly I couldn’t help but laugh. The premise is that they take a bunch of “bad and troubled” kids and take them to prison for a day to be shown around by inmates. Usually the kids are all insanely unlikeable and as much as the show is interesting and fun to watch I can’t help but to laugh at some of the insane things the inmates tell the kids. For example they usually tell them something along the lines of “When you get back here for real I’m going to make you my girlfriend” Of course thats the clean version of it anyway. Anyway overall though it is a interesting show to watch and I’m considered this season 1 as I don’t know if there will be and there was only seven episodes done already. This is worthy of a watch though.
